How to be Rich Before 30

A rich person is somebody who has abundant possessions and material wealth. When most people refer to the youth they mainly refer to people who are 30 years and below. Most people do not achieve financial security in their youth hence achieving it before 30 is a great feat.

Being rich as a young person comes with advantages such as financial freedom and prestige. Financial freedom can be interpreted as independence from anyone for money or other things that may require finances because one is able to cater for themselves without being a financial burden to anyone i.e. parent or guardian. Prestige can be interpreted as owning the latest items e.g. laptops, phones, clothes and shoes. Having financial security makes it much easier for a young person to obtain these items without any restrictions and hence living a luxurious life. Another advantage could be getting education for luxury. Most people go back to school to equip themselves so that they may rise in ranks in their careers to get larger salaries. A rich person may not require to go to school for better pay because they already have money. If they decide to go back to school, it may be purely out of interest and not for career progress, for example to study psychology to understand self.

Some of the ways young people have used to get rich today are through Multilevel Marketing Business. This business takes hard work in recruiting new members and selling their products. One gets paid for each activity separately. An example of such a business is Forever Living.

Attracting attention to the talent one has increases its chances of being lucrative. If one has a talent in singing they should join singing competitions such as Tusker Project Fame where they can win millions of shillings. Camp Mulla, a Kenyan band of high school students who have made their talent in music lucrative, is a good example.

One does not have to own a business to make money from it. Getting clients with specific needs and acting as a broker between a service provider and the clients can guarantee one huge sums of money without the hustle of owning the actual business and the loses related to it. For example, being a sales agent in the real estate industry where people buy houses worth millions of shillings.

Young people who desire to get rich can participate in lottery where they can win huge sums of money. They will be “luckier” if they get inside information on methods used to choose winners so that they compete “smartly”. For example, Tazama Chapaa on citizen TV is a local lottery competition which young people should consider participating in.

The government is typically the highest spender. If one gets the tenders that the government advertises, they will make a lot of money. Of course this is corruption but it explains why civil servants, despite being the least paid, are the richest Kenyans. The opportunities for making money, through corruption, are common.

As one Asian proverb says “You will always be enslaved to the person who provides your bread; money will give you freedom”.
