Acacias, being dryland trees, have shallow roots which spread over a large area in search of water. They, therefore, do not possess a deep foundation and hence are prone to falling over in strong winds as happened in Nairobi recently.
A quick survey along Uhuru Highway indicates that there are as many fallen acacias as there are A1 Outdoor billboards. Any connection?
Commonality yes, both acacia and bill boards should not be let to live past sell by date.
Yes a connection exists, like Acacias roots, the billboards spread over a large area in search of visibility, while they have a small base.
