As revealed by a Consumer Insight’s 2017 DigitalK Report, a whopping 97% of internet users in Kenya use WhatsApp. Facebook Messenger comes second at a 74% rate, while Telegram comes at a distant third with a 29%. Comparably, the uptake of WhatsApp by internet users in South Africa and Nigeria is at 77% and 90% respectively, showing just how popular the Instant Messaging application is. And that’s wassup.
